Canvas Rhythms

Textile tells a story of cultural and artistic convergence.
The collection captures creativity and innovation through captivating, woven textiles.

Table loom
Techniques
The techniques explored on the 16-shaft table loom include tabby weave, bubbling technique, rayon inlay on pencil, and diamond plain weave.
Material
For this textile, a 4-ply cotton yarn in beige was used as the warp to create a neutral base and balance the overall color palette.
For the weft, a mix of polyester and cotton yarns was selected and dyed in synthetic colors to match the design palette, adding variation in texture, depth, and visual richness to the fabric.

Handwoven frame-loom
Techniques
For the handwoven frame, a 2 × 1 feet wooden frame was used, within which an A5-sized sample was developed. The sample explored techniques such as tabby weaving, interlocking, and diagonal locking, allowing experimentation with structure, texture, and surface detailing.
