नूर

नूर draws reference from Jodhpur’s blue city, where indigo walls, light, and shadow narrate history and everyday life. The rug translates architectural layers into woven textures, blending craft traditions with contemporary form. Frayed edges, tonal variations, and depth symbolize time, lived spaces, and continuous personal and cultural transformation.

Material

The material used in Noor consists of locally sourced polyester and cotton blend yarns. These yarns were dyed in varying tint and tonal shades of synthetic blue, creating depth and subtle variation within the piece. The use of blended fibers allows for differences in texture, strength, and surface quality, enhancing both the tactile and structural characteristics of the work. The contrast between the softness of cotton and the durability of polyester contributes to the layered material expression of Noor.
